Structure for Iranian IBAN
Iranian IBANs consist of the country code (IR), check digits (2 digits), and bank code with account number (22 digits).
The Iranian IBAN consists of 26 characters. Unlike many other countries, the Iranian IBAN format does not have a clear separation between the bank code and account number in the national part of the number. The 22 digits after the check digits contain both the bank and account number information. Iran has adopted the IBAN system to simplify international payments, although international payment restrictions may apply due to sanctions. The national currency is the Iranian Rial (IRR). Iran is not a SEPA member.
