The Iraqi IBAN consists of 23 characters. The bank code (4 letters) identifies the bank (e.g., NBIQ stands for National Bank of Iraq), followed by the 3-digit branch code and the 12-digit account number. Iraq has adopted the IBAN system relatively recently to facilitate international payments. The national currency is the Iraqi Dinar (IQD). Iraq is not a SEPA member.
